Obituary of Maxine Allaby

Maxine Marjorie Allaby (Wright) passed away peacefully on December 7, 2014 at the Loch Lomond Villa with her family at her side. Born in Beaver Harbour on September 19, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Fenwick and Lou Lou Wright. Maxine was heavily involved in the Seniors Day Break Activity Center, a place she loved so dearly. During the Manitoba flood she collected and donated thousands of teddy bears. Maxine loved to travel on Grey Hound Bus which she traveled all over Canada. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Bernice) of Saint John, Shane (Bonnie) of Hamilton, Paul (Cindy) of Chilliwack B.C; five daughters, Gloria Jean Allaby of Napean ONT, Robin Allaby of Vancouver B.C, Terry Campbell of Langley B.C., Kim (Charles) of Sussex, and Tammy Lou Allaby of Ottawa; one brother Connie (Leslie) of Pocologon; two sisters Norma, and Brenda. Also Survived by several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. As well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Percy Richard Allaby; sisters Gertrude, Pinky and Avril; brothers Carrol, Wally, Phillip and Morton. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 10 to 12 noon. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon from the Castle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andrew Morse Officiating. A Reception will be held following the services.
