Obituary of Robert Brundage Seely

Robert B. Seely, son of the late Ronald More Seely and Olive Eliza (Brundage) Seely, Saint John, NB. A graduate of SJHS (1958), Robert continued academics, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from UNB Fredericton. Robert was soon employed by Rolls Royce Canada, Montreal. In the early 1970’s, Robert returned to NB, teaching in the city’s school District 20. Robert established Quaco River Sand and Gravel, selling raw materials for the construction of roads and highways. In his latter years, he pursued research in mathematical abstract reasoning and theory. Robert was a student of the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music, Piano, at advanced levels, receiving First Class Honours. Robert greatly enjoyed raising wild lowbush blueberries, hosting family and friends at his field. Robert is predeceased by his wife Carol Marcia Seely. He is survived by his daughter Helen Elizabeth (Jonathan) Seely of Saint John, NB; sister Pauline (Alex) Olyarchuk, Greenville, SC; niece Janice (Gilles) Olyarchuk-Meyer of Paris, France; nephews Peter (Lizanne) Olyarchuk, Greenville, SC; Phillip R.A. (Tracey) Ventzek, Moose Jaw, SK; Dr. Peter L. G. Ventzek, Austin, TX.Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 1-4pm, and Sunday, November 29, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Mon., November 30, 2015, at Trinity Anglican Church, Saint John, 1pm, with a reception to follow in the Bennett Room. Interment to take place at Oak Point Cemetery. Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Trinity Fabric Fund or to the charity of one’s choice. Flowers are welcome. The family requests a scents free environment.
