McCONKEY, MARJORIE CECILIA - Marjorie passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Albright Manor, Beamsville, Ontario. Loving Aunt of Sue Ellen Savel (John) of London, Joanne Wilhelm (Robert) of Burlington, Fay McConkey (Chris Delyzer) of Echo Bay and Curt McConkey (Laura) of St. Catherines. Sister in law of Rosemary Addison. Great Aunt of David, Michael (Jennifer) and Stephen (Savel), Heidi Sulentic (Tony), Chris Wilhelm (Ety) and Susan Wilhelm, Angus, Andrew (Hilary) and Bruce MacDonald, Troy Delyzer, Jason McConkey, Shawn McConkey (Weslie), Ingrid Balint (Gabor) and Paul McConkey , Doug (Anne) McConkey, Kelly (Pat) Purbs, and Keith McConkey. Predeceased by her parents Clyde (1980) and Violet (1950), brothers Bruce (2007) and Jack (1996), sisters in law, Clara (1973) and Eleanor (1984), nephews Robert (1996) and Ian (1996). Marjorie lived most of her life in Saint John, New Brunswick, before moving to Ontario in 1993 to assist in the care of her brother. A valued employee of the Federal Government for more than 30 years, Marjorie was a longtime active member of St. George’s Anglican Church in Saint John before moving to Ontario where she attended St. George’s Anglican Church in St. Catherines until becoming ill. A very caring and compassionate person to whom family was always of most importance, Marge (Sisser) will be greatly missed by many. A funeral service was held in Vineland, Ontario on Tuesday, May 3rd. Then transferred for a funeral service to be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Saint John on Friday, May 6th at 2 pm. Interment at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
